FAQs – A lot of times frequently asked questions about any subject are pretty general.

The questions on this page are typically questions people ask us when enquiring about a bathroom renovation. Here goes…
What does it cost?
An investment in a new bathroom can vary on the extent of work that has to take place and the fittings and fixtures that go into making your bathroom. Once we have sized up the project we go through effort and materials required to complete the task at hand. With our experience we provide a proposal that outlines all the key areas and associated financial investment.
Can I buy the fixtures and fitting and you do the work?
I know some people who are more than capable of choosing their fixtures and fittings. We’re happy to work with that, however, the challenges come if there is a warranty issue. It becomes your responsibility to deal with the issues as they arrive, post when we finish our work. When you work through us, our total solution approach takes into consideration all those elements, making sure you are looked after long after the job is completed.
Can I do the work as a project and you supervise me?
From our experience there’s a lot of gotcha’s when you take this approach, due to your experience, with due respect. We specialise in the doing this type of work as its our bread and butter, so we don’t supervise home handy people to do this.
How long will this take?
Our goal is to provide you with a new bathroom in the shortest possible time. Every Bathroom is different. The challenges can come sometimes with late supplies, environmental factors, challenges that arise in your timetable. We do make sure that you know exactly what’s happening and we will alert you to any challenges to the proposed timeline.
How will you keep my house tidy while the work goes on?
Cleanliness of your house while construction goes on is a key element for our productivity, yours and our safety, and, your project. We ensure that we clean up as we go along to ensure the work environment is safe for our team and safe for your family and friends if they have to navigate around the renovation areas.
Are there any Home Security issues we need to aware of while the work goes on?
We will need access to your house during normal working hours. We arrange suitable ways to ensure that our staff can safely enter and exit your home. Our staff are conscious of working in someone else’s home and will contact you beforehand on the hours of operation and occasionally after hour access.
What is your Wet sealing process and warranty process?
Our wet sealing quality process is designed and ensured to maximise the life of wet areas and moisture penetration. We have a 10 year warranty on our wet sealing process. We use state-of-the-art products that have been proven in the market place. Our warranty process kicks into gear when you contact us with an issue which will then be verified through a site inspection. From there we will identify the issue and work from there to resolve the problem if it is workmanship or product related.
Warranty Quality of Materials
We do our best to recommend high-quality products. Most have stood the test of time, however, sometimes 3rd party products don’t measure up to their claims. If you are experiencing issues with materials used in your renovation, contact us so we can verify the issue and seek to assist you in resolving it.
Employees vs Sub-contractors what do you use?
Outsourcing labour is a common practice in the building industry. We work on a split model of having more employees and than sub-contractors. This has worked well for us and many times sub-contractors have joined Simply Bathrooms and renovations to become employees.
